Some Parents Do Not Deserve To Have Children

Who does this?? 3-26-13 This is an unreasonable act!! ANYTHING  could of happened to this child!! This baby really deserves a mother that would not lock her up in the back seat while shopping. She also had the nerves to leave a note on the blanket saying,  "My mums in doing the shopping, call her if I need anything." There is a phone number written at the end. 

Even thought this picture went viral, and it is against the law in New Zealand what she did, she is not arrested because no one filed a formal complaint.  Just sad!! If this child is a burden to her, maybe the mum should consider adoption??? What do you think?? What would you do if you came across this infant??

There's have to be a better way!!

The Grandchild

I had met a Caucasian woman and we started a friendly conversation.  Our conversation topic changed to hair, she had told me that her daughter adopted a child that is African-American, and she now has a granddaughter that is African-American, and she adores her. As she is talking to me, I could not help but to notice the constant smile on her face as we talk about her new grandchild. She gave me a summary of the story;  her daughter and her daughter's husband went to a website where pregnant women choose who will be able to adopt their baby.  Once the young mother was in labor, They drove up North to Oakland, CA and picked her up right after delivery.  She even explained that her Caucasian grandson went through counseling to prepare him for questions, looks, stares, and maybe even bullying.  She mentioned her grandson is over protective over her now and he had stated, "No one better mess with my sister".  After I heard that, I smiled. "Wow" I thought to myself, this family really cares about this little girl! The child that was adopted is now 3 years old, I was told that they wash her hair everyday.  My eyes almost bulged out of their sockets when I heard this eye-opening information. I told her that is a big NO-NO!! Once a week is perfect for our hair.  So, I just mentioned a few basic tips to tell her daughter to use on her granddaughter:

• Do not wash everyday
• Moisturize everyday/every other day
• Wrap her hair up every night

While talking to this woman about her new granddaughter, I truly believed that she was in good hands and had a wonderful family that loved her without a shadow of a doubt!! She stated that she would definitely relay the tips to her daughter. She thanked me for the information.

Why does the title of this blog brings so much controversy?? Thanks to the Multiethnic Placement Act of 1994 wich prohibited State agencies and other entities that receive Federal funding and were involved in foster care or adoption placements from delaying, denying, or otherwise discriminating when making a foster care or adoption placement decision on the basis of the parent or child's race, color, or national origin.  Failure to comply with MEPA is violating  title VI of the Civil Rights Act.
